Booking Conditions

Our prices include the final cleaning, one set of towels per person, bed linen, the mobile TennengauPlus card, and the tourist tax. There will be no further costs incurring on-site, provided that all accompanying persons were specified at the time of booking. Please do not forget to specify your dog if applicable, otherwise we will have to charge you afterward. We kindly ask you to let us know of any changes before your arrival via e-mail stay@thesalt-hallein.com.

 

Note for group- and business bookings

For groups of 9 or more guests, please send us your request directly at stay@thesalt-hallein.com, so we can make an individual offer to meet your needs.

 

Payment per credit card

At the moment of booking, we will charge 100% of the price to your credit card and confirm your booking immediately.

 

Payment per bank transfer

After booking, the duration of your stay with us will be blocked for up to four days, until we receive your payment. Upon receiving your payment, we will send you a booking confirmation for your reservation. If your payment is not received in time, we will release your slot for other guests.

 

CHECK-IN from 3 pm / CHECK-OUT by 11 am

An earlier arrival or later departure is only possible subject to availability and prior agreement. You will receive the exact check-in guidelines shortly before your arrival.

 

Cancellation policy

  • free cancellation is possible within 48 hours of booking
  • after 48 hours and up to 15 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee applies. The remaining amount will be refunded to your bank account (credit card refunds are not possible).
  • from 14 days before arrival or in case of no-show: 100% cancellation fee applies
  • for cancellations made after 48 hours, a € 150 processing fee will be charged

Additional Information Regarding Cancellations: We will always do our best to resell your apartment or room. If we succeed, we will issue you a voucher equal to the cancellation fee you paid. This voucher can be redeemed within 12 months at The Salt. Before you cancel, please contact us in advance – we might be able to reschedule your stay and save everyone the extra costs.

If unexpected travel restrictions due to COVID-19 occur (e.g. closed borders, flight bans, or mandatory quarantine on arrival or departure), we will adjust the cancellation policy depending on the regulations in your country of origin.

The cancellation policy outlined above applies to direct bookings made through our website until July 15, 2025.
For bookings made through third-party platforms, cancellation conditions may differ. New terms and conditions will apply to bookings made from July 16, 2025 onwards.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

With a travel cancellation insurance, your cancellation costs will be reimbursed – allowing you to rebook at a later date without additional charges. Find more information at: www.europaeische.at

 

KEY HANDLING

The key must be returned to the key safe upon departure. If the apartment key is lost, we will have to charge a replacement fee of € 150 – unless the key is returned within one week after departure. During your stay, you are welcome to use the key safe to store your key securely whenever needed.

 

DAMAGES DURING YOUR STAY

Our housekeeping team reports any visible damages and documents them immediately with photos. If something gets accidentally damaged during your stay, please inform us as soon as possible – ideally including a photo – so we can react and repair the issue promptly (either during your stay or after your departure, depending on the nature of the damage). You will receive photos, a damage report, and the invoice by email, which you can use for your insurance claim or to settle the costs directly. Significant damages that are not reported during the stay and only discovered after check-out will be thoroughly documented and charged retrospectively.
